Official Notice from the Coaching Education Program of Nevada
Attention All Coaches:
This is official notice that by September 1st, 2006 all coaches that are affiliated with United States Youth Soccer of Nevada or one of its affiliated leagues or clubs must have the appropriate license to continue coaching in the State of Nevada. This is not a new rule. The rule has been in effect since 7/15/01(Bylaws 3:29:00), but had never been enforced. Therefore, in a continuing effort to follow the bylaws, and raise the level of coaching in the state of Nevada, every coach coaching within the last seasonal year will have until September 1st, 2006 to obtain the appropriate license for the age group they are coaching. There will be no exceptions. New coaches, coaching a team for the first time will have one year from the point they began coaching to obtain their license, as per the bylaws. Coaches who have no license but who have been coaching for several years may be eligible for a license waiver. If you received a letter from the state office stating that there is no current license on file for you and you have proof to the contrary, or believe you qualify for a waiver, please contact the state office at 702-870-3024. If you are unsure what license requirement you need to have, please visit our website at www.usysnv.net and will find a complete copy of the 2004-2005 Constitution and bylaws. You will find the requirements under the sections titled Coaching Licensing Requirements, Bylaws 3:29:00, A, B and C.
